By anchoring his creations in functional and artistic research, without omitting cultural and historical narratives, Sam Baron positions his gaze in our everyday life and contemporaneity.
His recurrent reinterpretations of traditional know-how (artisanal or industrial) cleverly questions the usefulness of manufacturing today as well as the very existence of new objects.
Sam Baron received the “Grand Prix de la création de la Ville de Paris” in the confirmed designer category and was selected by Philippe in 2010 at the Maison & Objet exhibition as one of the most important designers of the decade.
He received the “silver cube” from the New York Club of Art Directors and the “yellow pencil” from the London Club of Art Directors for the issue of Colors magazine he edited.
His work is regularly published in international magazines such as Monocle, Wallpaper magazine, New York times, Le Monde, Elle or Vogue and is part of the collections of international museums.
